The River Deck. Northamptonshire

This was completed Jan 03. My client wanted to use the timber for this project. I recommended Iroko hardwood for both the joists and the face decking, this matures to a sliver colour. The screws were a special order and are a deep golden brass colour but will not tarnish and are much stronger. The higher area in image one is a base for Summer House, this was installed after the deck was complete and I will eventually return and take after pictures. The decking goes over the river and has substantial balustrade hand rail to help prevent accidents. With the deck over looking the river and being able to feed the swans as you entertain it is truly a gorgeous site for this exceptional quality deck and summer house.
